Bigger than a giant in a hula skirt!

Tonight Aubrey was a little constipated.  She was very upset as she tried to use the restroom.  I gave her a suppository and everything was ok.  After she was finished she bent over so that I could wipe her.  Trey walked in and looked in the toilet.  He said, "wow that is big!"  Aubrey, still bent over replied, "That's bigger than a giant in a hula skirt!"  We about died laughing!  Such a funny girl!  Thanks Doc Mcstuffins for the hilarious quote!

Sharing the Easter story!

Yesterday evening I took the kids outside to kill some time before bed. Our new neighbors from down the street walked by.  Her name is Kristen and she had her three young kids with her.  Her husband was at work.  Aubrey was so excited to play with her kids for a bit as I visited and got to know Kristen.  As we were talking I overheard Aubrey talking to Kristen's daughter.  She was telling her all about Jesus and the Easter story.  She said, "and the Romans they were mean to Jesus and put him on that cross but Jesus rose in three days!"  It was precious!!  She continued to tell her all about Jesus. We have been reading a book about the true meaning of Easter and we have been playing with Aubrey's Resurrection eggs.  The eggs each have a small symbol of the Ester story in them.  It was precious and I was so proud of my sweet girl!  I almost cried right in front of our new neighbor!  We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful little girl.  She is so smart and already has a heart for the Lord!  Her prayers at night are getting more and more specific and personal to God.  I wish I could record them.  They are truly amazing!  I lay beside her in her bed as she prays and thank God for letting me be her mommy!

Goodbye Liberal

This past weekend we went to Liberal for what is probably our last time. We are so excited that Jan an Terry are moving to Edmond at the end of April! We wanted to go one last time to say goodbye to the house that Trey lived in since 4th grade and that I had 13 years of memories in. So many great times in that house! Memories of Trey and I falling in love, getting to know his family, weekend visits in college, family dinners, parties, movies, holidays, New Years celebrations, learning to wallpaper, cooking, bike rides, walks with Jan, Zorro, Grandpa Kelly, Grandpa Raymond, friends, Aubrey as a baby, long conversations in the living room while listening to music, living there for 2 months, and many many more! Terry flew down to pick us up so we wouldn't have to drive with the kids. Awesome! Aubrey loves to fly and has before but this was Kadens first airplane ride. He loved it!! I'm sure we will go back again someday but it was nice to go say goodbye to a place I can only describe as one of the warmest, God and family centered places I have ever called home! I will miss you 1900 N Calhoun!!!

Kaden 5 months

Yesterday Kaden was 5 months old! He is getting bigger and is still full of smiles! I am going to stop breastfeeding because he seems hungrier than he should. We have been putting him to bed with just a snuggie and are still trying to get him to sleep all night. Some day! He loves to be outside and loves to play with his big sister! Love my sweet boy!!!

Decorating Kaden!

This afternoon Aubrey decided to "decorate" her brother! Oh my! It probably won't be the first time!

Dads 60th

A few weeks ago we celebrated my dads 60th Birthday! Mom and dad came to the city to party! We spent the morning at Bass Pro Shops with dad followed by lunch at The Taco Shop and a walk through Bricktown. Aubrey loved the ducks swimming in the canal. Later that evening we had a fun dinner at Cafe Pranzo with balloons and the coolest cake, a billboard cake. Love my dad!
