First flight with Grandpa!

Aubrey's Grandpa Terry flew down to pick us up and take us to Liberal for a couple of days. Trey's cousins were going to be in Liberal and we thought it would be a good time to visit. We also wanted to see Trey's Grandpa Kelly and to show our sweet girl off to the family! It was so nice to fly! It only takes 1 1/2 hours in the plane vs 4 1/2 hours in the car. No question which option I wanted! We had a great time and will go back for Christmas. Maybe Aubrey will be flying by then!

Aubrey loves to eat! I know, shocker! As she was eating her dinner she leaned down and tried to grab her food with her mouth. Trey and I laughed so hard when she raised back up because as you can see, she got more than she bargained for. Cute! I especially like the turkey on the side of her cheek!

Hat girl!

Aubrey loves to wear hats! This one is too small so I just laid it on top of her head. Ever time it fell off Aubrey would grab it and try to put it back on. She would just go back to playing with the small Santa hat sitting on her head. Silly girl!

Aubrey is so helpful! Too helpful sometimes! Just after I got all of her laundry sorted and right before I was going to put it away, I walked in a found this... Cute!

New tricks at 11 months

Aubrey is getting SO big! I can't believe she is almost 1! Time flies when you are SO blessed! Aubrey has been doing some of the cutest things lately. She loves to play with phones and when I give it to her she holds it up to her ear. She will also hold her little hair brush to her hair when I give it to her. It is so amazing how fast babies learn! I know Aubrey is super advanced though! Another new thing that she likes to do is shut doors. Sometimes she will be playing in her room and I her the door shut. I open the door and look around the edge and see her with a big smile on her face. I guess she wants some privacy.

Bath time is her favorite! Anytime I open the bathroom door she crawls as fast as she can to the tub. We can't get her in fast enough! Sometimes she gets really impatient and starts to fuss if I am taking too long to get the tub ready! Oh well, at least I have a baby that loves to take a bath.

Aubrey has been pulling up on things here lately. On Sept. 2nd, yes I know the date, I looked at the monitor and saw her standing up in her crib! It looked really funny! She will stand up and look over the edge. I only hope she doesn't take after her daddy and decide one day to climb out. I might have a heart attack! Trey was such a little monkey when he was little.

Aubrey loves to say Abby! Well she says, Aaa E. She is getting better at saying Daddy and has started to say Momma! So cute! She has a picture board in her room of family and friends and points to it as soon as you get her out of her crib from a nap. She really likes to look at all of the pictures. We name each person and talk about how much she is loved by so many!

Aubrey is getting her top two teeth in. She has been more fussy than the last time but is doing pretty good. That has got to hurt! She looks really cute with all those teeth. Well, 4 anyways!

Her favorite food right now is bananas. She loves them! She is our little monkey!

Pulling up!

Aubrey has been pulling up on everything lately. She is so cute when she stands up next to her play table and when she pulls up in front of the T.V.

I want some!

Abby already has to share us with Aubrey. Now it looks like she will have to share her food too. Abby usually eats her food as soon as I put it in her bowl but the other day she wasn't hungry right away. I walked around the corner and there sat Aubrey with a mouth full of dog food! YUCK! I got it out of her mouth as fast I could. Aubrey did not seem to mind the taste. I guess kids will eat anything. I just need to prepare myself for more gross things in the future!

A few weeks ago I got some tupperware out of the cabinet for Aubrey to play with. I came back to check on her a few minutes later and this is what the kitchen looked like. She had a blast!

The last Sat. in Aug. we went to Elk City for the Cousins Reunion. Mom and I were getting ready and I asked dad to take Aubrey outside to keep her happy until it was time to go. After I got dressed I went outside to see what Aubrey and Dad were up to. It was so sweet. Out in the middle of the yard Dad was laying in the grass and Aubrey was in the wagon. It looked like they were just hanging out. Having a good talk. So cute! What a great Grandpa!

First trip to the Zoo

Aubrey was more interested in the hay than in the goats.

On Aug. 25th the playgroup girls and I decided to meet at the zoo. Aubrey's first zoo trip! It was so nice out that day and on Wednesdays in July and August it only costs a dollar to get in! We had a great time. We went with Erin and Annabelle, Cari and Cali, and Kena and her son Boone. Aubrey really enjoyed being outside as usual. At this age though the moms have more fun I think. Aubrey will really enjoy it next year. Can't wait to go back with Trey!
