Aubrey and her first soccer game!

This morning we went to Aubrey's first soccer game! She is on the same team as Creed, Cali, Griffin and Parker. She was all excited until we got there. It was a little overwhelming but I thought she would see her friends and be fine. Not the case! She cried for the first 45 minutes, only participating in the warm up with me holding her hand. I was carrying Kaden in the baby Bjorne at the same time. We were a sight to see. Finally with about 15 minutes left, Aubrey's sweet friend and teammate Cali held her hand. She decided then that she could go onto the field. Thank goodness! On the field, Aubrey and Cali talked a bit and even started comparing their fake tattoos they each had on their arms. It was precious! The coach was so kind and gave Aubrey the medal of the game for encouragement! So sweet! Aubrey has no idea what soccer is all about but she will learn. I'm just thrilled she tried! Hoping next week goes better! Go #10!!

Kaden is 6 months old!

Yesterday marked the 6th month for our sweet Kaden! He is growing up too fast. Kaden has started "talking" more which is just so precious! He is sleep better at night ( on his tummy) and is starting solid foods... We are helping him learn to sit up on his own. He is such a happy baby! People always comment on his smile and attitude. I'm one proud momma! Kaden loves his big sister and watches her ever move. He loves to be outside and he loves to be naked! Silly boy! Life is getting much easier now. I think we might just make it! I love you sweet Kaden baby!

Picnic in the park!

We met Cari and her girls at the park this morning. Aubrey loves sweet Cali! We had a picnic, played on the playground and walked through the beautiful tulips. What a wonderful spring day!

Happy Easter! He is risen!

Aubrey was really into Easter and the Easter story this year! Love her sweet spirit! We did of course dye eggs, do an Easter egg hunt and dress up for church in our Sunday best! I truly love Easter and all that it means to us! Christ has risen indeed! Thank you oh Lord for your promise and blessings!

Bigger than a giant in a hula skirt!

Tonight Aubrey was a little constipated.  She was very upset as she tried to use the restroom.  I gave her a suppository and everything was ok.  After she was finished she bent over so that I could wipe her.  Trey walked in and looked in the toilet.  He said, "wow that is big!"  Aubrey, still bent over replied, "That's bigger than a giant in a hula skirt!"  We about died laughing!  Such a funny girl!  Thanks Doc Mcstuffins for the hilarious quote! 

Sharing the Easter story!

Yesterday evening I took the kids outside to kill some time before bed. Our new neighbors from down the street walked by.  Her name is Kristen and she had her three young kids with her.  Her husband was at work.  Aubrey was so excited to play with her kids for a bit as I visited and got to know Kristen.  As we were talking I overheard Aubrey talking to Kristen's daughter.  She was telling her all about Jesus and the Easter story.  She said, "and the Romans they were mean to Jesus and put him on that cross but Jesus rose in three days!"  It was precious!!  She continued to tell her all about Jesus. We have been reading a book about the true meaning of Easter and we have been playing with Aubrey's Resurrection eggs.  The eggs each have a small symbol of the Ester story in them.  It was precious and I was so proud of my sweet girl!  I almost cried right in front of our new neighbor!  We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful little girl.  She is so smart and already has a heart for the Lord!  Her prayers at night are getting more and more specific and personal to God.  I wish I could record them.  They are truly amazing!  I lay beside her in her bed as she prays and thank God for letting me be her mommy!
