Winter 2010
I thought I would post a few pictures from the winter storm we just had. The snow was so beautiful. It started on Thur. and lasted until Sat. morning. Trey was in Florida so Aubrey and I just snuggled in and played by the fire. Too bad daddy had to rough it in 70 degree weather. I was just happy we did not lose power though. Aubrey is getting so big and hit the big 16 week old mark this past Friday. I think she is the happiest baby in the world too. She just smiles all the time and seems to be very easy going. I know it's because of my wonderful parenting skills!

Aubrey's first laugh!
Wow! What a great day! Aubrey laughed for the first time! We came home from church and laid Aubrey down on her blanket while we ate lunch. Abby sat down next to her hoping Trey or I might share our lunch. Aubrey was looking at Abby. She just started to notice Abby in the last two weeks. Abby let out a bark and out of no where, Aubrey started full on laughing! It was sooo awesome. Trey grabbed the camera and I had Abby bark several more times. Each time Aubrey laughed. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. One of the best days of my life. I can't wait for more!!!

What a night!
Last night was rough!!! Trey and I have been going back and forth on how we want to put Aubrey down for naps and at night. I have been asking everyone what they did with their baby and get pretty much the same answer. I have to do what works for us. Up to now we have been holding her for her naps or she sleeps in her car seat or bouncer. At night we have been rocking her to sleep and then oh so carefully been putting her in her crib. This sometimes takes a while and we have to hold our breath and pray that she goes down the first time. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old so we did not want to mess with what we thought was a good thing. Last night though we decided to start putting her in her crib while she is still somewhat awake so that she can learn to fall asleep on her own. Everything we have read tells us that we will be so happy later on if she can do this. It is so hard though!!! I had to go and sit in our closet. We had the bathroom vent on too to drown out her cry! Trey would go and check on her every five minutes, each time adding five minutes before he went in. I was a mess! I kept praying that God would just calm her sweet little mind and body. It was so much harder than I thought it would be. I hate to hear her cry! I really don't think she has cried a total of more than 2 hours in her life. I know! I know! Time to do this! We thought 3 1/2 months was a good time to start. I really did not think it was going to work, but after 45 minutes of crying on and off she fell asleep! Trey and I felt like we had just conquered Mount Everest!!! She was asleep! Yay!!! She woke up this morning around 8:00 as happy as could be.
Today we are going to try it out at nap time. We have only done one nap so far this morning and it was hard. She again cried for about 45 minutes and is now asleep! I can't wait untill she does not cry at all when we put her down.

Aubrey's first airplane ride!
Last week Trey, Aubrey and I were in Liberal for a Stelera launch. Trey flew his boss and several Stelera employees to Liberal for work. Aubrey and I usually don't tag along on work trips but since it was in Liberal we decided to go and be with daddy! We had so much fun. Trey's mom had a meet and greet party for Aubrey on Tuesday night. We got to see so many friends. My Mimi and Trey's Grandpa Kelly also got to meet Aubrey for the first time. I always love showing her off. We are very proud parents. We had a great week with Nanie and Grandpa Terry! On Friday we flew home. I was nervous at first about how Aubrey would do in the plane, but she did awesome. She slept the first half of the flight and sat on my lap the final part of the trip. She didn't even cry, which I was happy about because Trey's boss was on the plane! Aubrey even waited until we landed to have herself a big poopie! What a good baby!!! Aubrey makes one good co-pilot!
